My Choice Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme (the “Scheme”) Amendments to the Principal Brochure

THIS DOCUMENT IS IMPORTANT AND REQUIRES YOUR IMMEDIATE ATTENTION. IF IN DOUBT, PLEASE SEEK PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.

BOCI-Prudential Trustee Limited accepts responsibility for the accuracy of the contents hereof.

Thank you very much for your participation in the Scheme. We would like to inform you the following changes to the Principal Brochure of the Scheme:

Unless otherwise defined, capitalized terms used herein shall have the same meaning as defined in the Principal Brochure of the Scheme.

Amendments relating to the investment risk profiles of the Constituent Funds of the Scheme

We would like to inform you that there will be a change in respect of the determination mechanism of the investment risk profiles of the Constituent Funds of the Scheme described in the Principal Brochure. At present, under Section 3.1 “Investment Policy of the Constituent Funds” of the Principal Brochure, the investment risk profiles of the Constituent Funds of the Scheme are determined by the investment managers of the Constituent Fund and/or the underlying APIFs and/or approved ITCIS based on the investment mix of the respective Constituent Funds/underlying APIFs/approved ITCIS. The party who determines the investment risk profiles of the Constituent Funds of the Scheme will be revised to BOCI-Prudential Trustee Limited instead of the investment managers.

The change is made for the purpose of providing update information of the Investment Risk Profile. The disclosure relating to the determination mechanism of investment risk profiles of Constituent Funds of the Scheme under the above-mentioned section will be amended accordingly.

The above change will take immediate effect from the date hereof.

Details of amendments mentioned above are set out in the First Addendum to the Principal Brochure.

The Principal Brochure together with the First Addendum are available for inspection free of charge at our Customer Service Centre at Unit 2403, 24/F, Citicorp Centre, 18 Whitfield Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong or can be downloaded from our website: www.bocpt.com.

BOC-Prudential Easy-Choice Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • You should consider your own risk tolerance level and financial circumstances before making any investment choices. When, in your selection of Constituent Funds, you are in doubt as to whether a certain Constituent Fund is suitable for you (including whether it is consistent with your investment objectives), you should seek financial and/or professional advice and choose the Constituent Fund(s) most suitable for you taking into account your circumstances.
  • You should consider your own risk tolerance level and financial circumstances before investing in the MPF Default Investment Strategy (as defined in section 6.7 (MPF Default Investment Strategy)). You should note that the BOC-Prudential Core Accumulation Fund and the BOC-Prudential Age 65 Plus Fund may not be suitable for you, and there may be a risk mismatch between the BOC-Prudential Core Accumulation Fund and the BOC-Prudential Age 65 Plus Fund and your risk profile (the resulting portfolio risk may be greater than your risk preference). You should seek financial and/or professional advice if you are in doubt as to whether the MPF Default Investment Strategy is suitable for you, and make the investment decision most suitable for you taking into account your circumstances.
  • You should note that the implementation of the MPF Default Investment Strategy may have an impact on your MPF investments and accrued benefits. We recommend that you consult with the Trustee if you have doubts on how you are being affected.
  • Fees and charges of a MPF conservative fund can be deducted from either (i) the assets of the fund or (ii) members’ account by way of unit deduction. The BOC-Prudential MPF Conservative Fund uses method (i) and, therefore, unit prices/NAV/fund performance quoted have incorporated the impact of fees and charges.
  • If you are in doubt about the meaning or effect of the contents of the information in this website, you should seek independent professional advice.
